My favorite planned event on our tour was the morning we visited Glen Keen Farms in Connemara to see a sheepherding demonstration. The Aussie's trainer, George, showed us how he used commands to direct the dogs and bring the Scottish blackface sheep home. It was beautiful seeing those dogs do what they are meant to and do it so gracefully. And those sheep! They huddled all together even as the front two stared down the dog who lay just in front of them obeying George's command to "mind your sheep."
