Landscape painting of a stone wall in the Burren in Ireland by Judy McSween
The Burren, from the Irish ‘An Bhoireann’, literally means a rocky place. We visited this national park on an overcast afternoon after spending time in Clare Heritage Centre in Corofin, Co Clare. I love this quote about the area:
“a silver stone land with not enough water to drown, nor earth to bury, but fauna and flora half-hidden, abundant.”
